Scissors, Turkeys, Gators and a New App

We broke out the scissors and glue today for our first
number sorting page!
Using scissors proved to be rather challenging for a number of us, but as difficult as it was we did not give up!
Everyone persevered to cut out all their number pieces and then we sorted and glued them.

You can find my "Number Sorting" activity at my TPT store.

Our Thanksgiving turkeys went home today!
I love this simple hand print craft. . . a sweet little keepsake.

We enjoyed a rousing game of "Gator Ball Mayhem" in gym today.
Nothing like a boys vs girls game to get everyone
excited, competitive and very HOT!
We ended the match at a "tie". . .we each won 2 games. . .

I was thrilled to discover a new name writing app this week!
We are loving, "Write My Name".
You can program in every student's portrait and name and then they can practice their name writing!
The app teaches them how to form each letter, step by step.
Great name writing fun for my JK's!
Not only is it great for children to practice their own names, but it's very helpful while we are still learning our fellow classmates names.

This app also has an "Alphabet Book" where students can practice writing both upper and lowercase letters, and "Word Cards" which contain simple sight words for students to write.
It's a fantastic app for the classroom, but would also be great for extra practice at home.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful long weekend!
